I keep my horses at home on my small farm. My passion is Combined Driving, but I also trail ride and practice Cowboy Dressage or take friends for a drive on the trail....

About Me

I grew up in Nanaimo and started riding horses at a young age every chance I got.  This was usually trail rides. I did take some Engish riding lessons.  I loved the sound of hooves going past my house. My Dad bought me my first horse when I was thirteen.  Misty was a wonderful mare and I rode her bareback and barefoot all over my neighbourhood and down to the beach at Pipers Lagoon.  I eventually moved on to other interests and when my boys were teens I had the time and enthusiasm to get back into horses.  I had a lot to learn and a few horses along the way to teach me some lessons.  Now I have Knight  who has been with me since he was three years old.  He was born near Lillooet BC.   I love that I can take him out on his own and his great endurance.  He's sixteen now and still has a lot of go.  We've been on wilderness rides into the Interior of BC, pushed cows on a Ranch, played with Dressage but primarily we trail ride.  I would like to do Arena riding with him.
